The 2008 DRM was held Saturday, May 10th at the Marines' Memorial Hotel !
Once again we were treated to a wonderful day of piping. We want to thank all the competitors, as well as the audience for making the 17th DRM such a special event. Without you this event wouldn't take place! |

The DRM Mission The objective of the Dr. Dan Reid Memorial Challenge Recital is to maintain and preserve the classic compositions of the Great Highland Bagpipe for future generations of pipers throughout the world. To provide a forum in which the instrument, the recitalists and the judges have the advantage of best possible conditions in which to practice their art. To present, through it's restrictive tune list, tunes that are classic in their composition and to make available a musical audio library of these compositions as played by the finest exponent of the art in the modern era. |
